The training has begun... I leave for Florida tomorrow to start a rigorous training process of sitting and relaxing while enjoying a cold beverage. I have to admit I have the sitting part of this down to a science but the rest of it will take some intense concentration.
I almost got to practice my long distance driving because Air Canada informed me a few days ago that they no longer provide supplemental oxygen for those of us who need it so I had to scramble and arrange for my own stuff but it is all taken care of and I will be basking in the sun for 2 wonderful weeks.
Once I get back I will talk to Air Canada and see if they will bring me to Vancouver. I'm sure it will all work out...after all, I am the Prince.
Is this an expensive course? ... I can sit with the best of 'em. I also can enjoy a cold beverage. This is sort of a natural talent, I guess. good for me.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand ... you're flying to Florida? but what about the Beast? did I miss something? I finally have wifi and am catching up on blogs but ... you're supposed to be ... what am I missing.
It's more expensive in Canada than in the USA. A case of 12 cold beverages here is about $24.00.
DeleteI too enjoy a good, brisk sit. I've developed powerful muscles in my lower regions that allow me to sit on a beach for 8 hours at a time. Hydration is sometimes a problem.
For clarification... the Beast is in Vancouver, BC. The Prince lives in Ontario but will be flying out to join me on the Beast's maiden voyage in June.
Vacation before the Beast??
ReplyDeleteYep - we've both got to rest up, since our itinerary will involve up to 2 hours of driving a day, topped off by eating large quantities at assorted Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. You just can't go into something like that unprepared :-)
ReplyDeleteI failed to mention that I am going on holidays before my vacation...I thought it was the thing to do. I just got back from a porketta bingo and won 3 pounds of delicious porketta. Now to get back to packing and getting reading for training season in Florida. Busch beer is affordable down there so it's not a very expensive process.
ReplyDeleteOnce I get back from Florida I will have a few weeks to unwind and get ready for the adventure.
