I had a wonderful 2 weeks here preparing for the Big Beastly Adventure across the northern states. Wow, can you imagine...Vancouver B.C. to Sudbury Ontario in only 25 days!! haha
I like the hints that were posted here, particularly the one about putting a clip on the steering wheel to remind ourselves to lower the antenna or other pre-flight checks that are needed. Thanks.
So, I have sat and enjoyed beverages, ate at many restaurants, some good, some not so good. I got some sun and a bit of a burn so I'm ready for tanning but i don't think that will be a time waster in the northern states in June. Going back to Sudbury for a couple of weeks to do the cold weather training. I have to be ready for anything.
Only 23 days until I fly to Vancouver.... This will be fun!
I'm so proud of you, Prince! It sounds like you really took one for the team. In two short weeks you have risked life and limb in preparation for the BBA (Big Beastly Adventure: hours of sitting idly in preparation for the 1.6 hours of daily travel; stretching abdominal muscles to get ready for the DDD marathon; sampling strange and unusual liquid concoctions so that we won't go into the wilds of the US like blind fools; and exposing your unprotected winter skin to sunshine, in readiness for the hour of daylight we might see on the trip. Bravo....the world applauds you! I wish I had a medal to give you.
ReplyDeleteWell we can't take things too lightly. I arrived home last night to a pleasant little rain...actually is was like a soft hail but it felt good after being in that little weee plane from Toronto. Now, to practice for the driving part of the adventure we are heading back to Toronto today by car so I will get 4 1/2 hours of driving time in. We should get team jerseys made up because clearly we are approaching this in a professional manner. haha
